After School Tutorial

Need help in Science? Need to complete a lab that you missed? Ms. Cheek will be offering after school tutorial in Earth Science on Monday and Wednesday afternoons until 4:30. Students will need a written note by their parents stating that they may stay for after school and that transportation has been arranged. Also, if the student is making up a lab, one day extra notice is required so that Ms. Cheek can set up the equipment.

5/11 - 5/12 - Soil and Water Experiment - Grade will be recorded.
5/9 - 5/10 - Final Review Scavenger Hunt - Grade will be recorded.
5/5 - 5/6 - Students completed Systems - Hurricane. (Grade will be recorded.)
5/3 - 5/4 - Students began work on Systems - Hurricane. Viewed film about the formation of these huge storms, as well as the damage they can cause. Then, students chose activities to complete that reinforced the concepts. (Grade will be recorded.)
4/27, 4/29, 5/2 - Students were introduced to science fair scenario. In groups, students create a question correlated with the activity. Then the students began researching their topic. (Grade will be recorded.)
4/25 - 4/26 - Students learned about forensic science. Students completed an activity where they deduced the criminal in a scenario using clues and discussion. (Grade will be taken).
